PERIMETRAL SECURITY PLATFORM AND HIGH AVAILABILITY INTERNET ACCESS PALENCIA CITY COUNCIL

THE APPROACHED PROBLEM:
Palencia City Council was using a security platform which had already been completed its life-cycle and was not in keeping with the present institution’s necessities anymore. The existing components did not allowed the flexibility requested by an organization in a daily growth according to the market’s new technologies.

SOLUTION:
The technical department of S3P Technology has designed the implementation of a high availability firewalls solution with content analysis in order to permit its users to achieve maximal profit from the existent resources. The solution has consisted of two high availability ASTARO SECURITY GATEWAY AS32O units with analysis on applications level for Internet surfing (antivirus, antispyware, surf control and URL filter), e-mail (antivirus and antispam), ftp connections, remote access, etc.

SERVICE:
S3P Technology offers remote and on-the-spot support to the personnel of Palencia City Council’s Informatics Department. Accomplishing tasks of preventive maintenance and carrying out analysis of existing information allows to react efficiently to known issues. The answer time has been established on the base of an official body’s necessities, which constantly needs to maintain this service operational.
